Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m Darren Hamm, a mechanical engineer with a deep passion for design and innovation. I graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2001 and have since been immersed in the world of mechanical engineering. Though I have a background in IT, my primary focus has always been on engineering and design.
From a young age, I’ve enjoyed freehand sketching, a skill I’ve developed over many years. My interests span from vehicles, particularly Volkswagen and BMWs, to my current project: a 1928 Ford Model A that I’m hot rodding with a Flathead Ford V8 engine. This project has been a long-held dream, and I’m excited to bring it to life.
In addition to my engineering pursuits, I’m actively involved in organizing USS Franklin reunions and managing the website ussfranklin.org. By March, I will have hosted three reunions, honoring the legacy of the ship and its crew.
I’m also passionate about leveraging technology to simplify engineering tasks. I’ve developed several websites, including a units converter and a description builder, to make engineering more efficient. With the help of AI, I’m able to bring these ideas to life more effectively and efficiently.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you find inspiration in my journey and projects. Feel free to explore the articles and websites linked on the side for more insights into my work.
